Automation: Clone a request and set requesttype to current issue

Hello

I want to create an automation if you comment on a closed issue the closed one will be cloned with all the information including the request type.

I tried to set the request type but it says I dont have permissions. In the project settings the actor is an admin.

We usually have Bots Accounts with user rights

My bad on cloning the request type can't be cloned.

In the branch in the rule, do an edit action to set the request type.

There is also the option of "Creating a Service Request" but it is not possible to copy the request type of the trigger request..

Did you add the edit action in the branch so after, the action Comment on Issue?

If you still get this notice, then the user who is the actor of the rule doesn't have the right access on the JSM project.

sadly we dont have that kind of "edit request type" in our automation system

This should also work in DC, but that's different, then you can only do this based on the advanced option in the edit action.

You need to set this using JSON.

Isn't the request type fix in this solution? In this example it would always be "Test Block" or does it change depending on the reqeust type you initiate?

Yes, this is fixed.

This doesn't change on on the initial request type, then you will need to use IF/ELSE conditions and set the edit action per condition and define the JSON.
