as we are using Automations to automatically update/close/comment Tickets based on SLAs ... but we don't really want to use a "Real Persons Account" for this - better would be a System User named "Futureweb Bot" or something like that ...
Is it somehow (API?) possible to create System Users with appropriate permissions?
Or any other ideas on that?

You can create a user in the Jira Directory and place them in the admin group (or appropriate group). Also, set your automations/post-functions to run as the bot.
It is what I use so it doesn't show my name when automations are ran.

Not really want to 20-30$ / month for another Name ... cost-benefit factor not met! ;-)
