Can we create a condition to override a required field?

Hello, 

We made the "Time Spend" field required for some of the JSM projects. However we would like "Time Spend" field to be not required if the assignee logs their time before they resolve their issue/s. Is there a way to do that? Thank you.

Hi Elif:

I would agreed with what @Jack Brickey stated.  You need to customize your WF to accomplish your goal.  Please note that if it is via the WF, then the validators setup is fired at issue transition event or at issue creation event.

Maybe consider using workflow Condition/Validators instead of making it Required all the time.
