Search for issue in another way

Deleted user July 13, 2021

Is there a way to search for issues when we give the specific "serial number" which is put in the issue?

We created a new request type "serial number" and now we wanted to know if it´s possible how to find an issue by just giving the serial number. Might there be a setting somewhere that need to be set?

Thank you!

In fact this really should work. Have you attempted and found it not to work?

Yes I have already tried it before but couldn´t find how to make it possible.

  • After it accepts the serial number, the field shows like this.

  • So I tried to put both variants. First without dots

  • Second with dots

Ah. Maybe having the dots in the serial number is causing the issue. What if you test in the serial number field number without dots. Can you search and find the issue in that case.

the dots are automatically given into the field. I did not put them :(

How is that data entered into that field? My earlier point was simply to try a test. Are you not able to create a test issue and enter data into that field manually?
