We are conducting an activity where the JIRA system triggers multiple notifications to multiple users. To prevent disruption, we plan to disable outgoing email while JIRA triggers notifications. If we enable outgoing email, will it trigger those emails again?
Also anyone migrated Classic mail handler to Email This Issue mail?

Why you want to disable outgoing mail, rather than don't want to investigate why jira is generating so much emails?
IMO after enabling outgoing mail again, Jira won't send previous messages.

@Sebastian Krzewiński Thanks for your response, we are using Email This Email Classic mail handler which is out of support and we are planning to migrate this to NextGen mail handler. After enabling this so many unwanted notifications' trigging from JIRA system, to avoid interruption we want to disable mail part and upgrade mail handler.
