Where can clients decide not to get notificated for a new request sent from the portal

Salvatore Montalto July 31, 2023

In jira/settings/products/jira-service-management-configuration regarding the area for organization management, when choosing if new requests should be automatically shared with the customer's organization, you can choose between the options

"Yes, automatically share new requests with the customer's organization. Requests sent from the portal are also shared with the client, unless the client decides not to." and

"No, do not share email requests with the customer's organization. Requests sent from the portal will not be shared with the client unless the client chooses to do so."

The last part of the sentence suggests, that clients have access to a function that disables notifications for newly created requests through the portal.
In documentation i was not able to find anything other than the clients option to disable notifications for a specific ticket.

Does anyone know more about this topic?

Hi @Salvatore Montalto

So when the user creates an issue they'd have the ability to share this with their org. If no is selected the padlock defaults to no share. So the user could if they wished change the padlock settings and share with their org.
